I was looking for a rc car I might wanna get and I found this on horizon hobby?

http://www.horizonhobby.com/products/torment-1-10-waterproof-short-course-truck-rtr-black-orange-ECX4000S

it seems exactly like the slash but more reasonably priced?

No man....
I had T-maxx, Savage, Rc10Gt. (all nitro) I put over $1500 in my Savage.lmao
And probably a grand into my T-maxx.

I didn't spend that much on the RC10GT...that's because it never broke.
It hauls butt, kick rocks, and I can get it to do a back flip from a stand still...
that's how much power that thing has.(stock) I used to launch it 20-25 feet jumps.
You can change the gearing on it or whatever. Replacement parts are easily available.
The rc10gt comes out of the box stock ready to rock....
I had the RTR version too....You can get differnent wheels, tires, or bodies for it..don't trip on that.
It'll leave whatever it is you wanna get in the dust.
You can play with rc10 for hours at a time because it's nitro....
Just refuel and you're off again.

I had to sup up my savage and do all kinds of up grade to it.

Um...??? I didn't try to relate it to those cars just the traxxas slash? Not hpi and all that I know hpi and other name brands but traxxas are good like y dad has the savage .25 nitro such a sexy car man any ways my uncle drove it full speed into a wall nothing happened... But anyways I think it is exactly like the slash except I heard on a few videos that the driveshaft is plastic... So they replaces it with the traxxas slash one and it worked fine... Over all besides it being brushed which is what I what to get this car is over all pretty good I have seen videos where this car takes huge beatings... But I think it is like the slash not like the other more expensive name brand trucks.,

Just like my exceed 1/10 short course I got it brushed ad upgraded it because I didn't want the crappy motor and stuff off of the brushless one so I got a hobbyking 100 a esc which can run up to a 4s lipo but I never choose to do because a 3s shreds the gear and I also have a 3300 kv motor no name brand motor go's around 45 just on a 2s and that car just keeps asking for it is it a cheap car yes but man can I get speed out of that thing with a 3s I can surely beat some nitro car butt...

I also had the XTM .21 buggy...
But as far as RC car gose..The drive shaft being plastic?? they should have
know better it was going to twist...
But if they made the shaft out of plastic....then you have to think about
the material the axils are made out of .
I know it's metal...but how strong are they? and how long would they last?
I had problems with Traxxas axils wearing out all the time. The T-maxx was a money
pit. It break every other time I ran it.

That's the problem I ran into with the Savage. I went to a .27 lmao
Then I had to up grade everything. I used to snap the axils on my
savage too much.. Then I up grade that...then the darn wheel hub
wears out...then I upgrade that...then the gears in my transmission
went out. My savage was overkill...it hauls butt and took a lot of abuse.
Roll cage and all kinds of other aluminum parts on it.
Putting a more powerful engine on it..caused a domino effect.

I had the same problem with the XTM buggy...Don't get me wrong..it was
a rocket..but the parts wore out faster.

I never had problems with the rc10gt..other than replacing the tires because
I palyed with it so much.

You're up grading to a more power motor???

Yea I like to do that I kinda call it a project car when I do that I like to do that it is a lot of fun and you get a faster car than when you would buy a new brushless one from their factory z

Especailly on dirt...it looks like it's a boat just skimming through the waters.lmao

I was building a patriot (looks like a super bandit). I was going to put a .52
with a tune pipe on it. It was going to do 100 + easy. it's a .40 model.lmao

get the slash clone from hobby king if that's what you want, they are super cheap and the parts are interchangeable...

I just got back from the track, running laps and practicing with my new RC10B4.2, it's awesome but it's not a basher..
