| -MODULE 21: Trim, Dual Rates & Expo |
     | | | |
1)
Trim as much as you can manually by making your control rod longer or shorter (adjust the clevis). |
2)
First trim the pitch, then the roll, then the yaw. Then land the plane and check the controls. |
3)
Dual rates are controlled by switches on your radio. They can give you “stunt mode” and “calm mode”. |
4)
Exponential is programed inside your radio as well. This allows you to have softer throws on the inside of the control movements. |

| -MODULE 38: Gyros |
     | | | |
1)
Gyros help your planes fly smoother. Basically, a gyro is just a simple autopilot, it WON’T make a bad plane fly good. |
2)
Glue the gyros as close to the center of gravity as you can get them. Use Esky gyros. We’ve tested lots of them and this is our favorite. |
3)
The gyros must get a CLEAN, unmixed, untrimmed signal from your radio. So make sure the gyro isn’t on a mixed or trimmed channel. |
4)
Gyro calibration: Start with little correction, fly the plane, land, adjust it up slightly, and repeat until you have it adjusted to your taste. |
