Are you able fly it at all or does roll right into the ground as soon as you launch it?

Sounds like you may have the throttle set too high for take off and you are experiencing torque roll. Try only giving about half throttle (or a little less but no more) and a good firm toss.

The F-18 is a completely different animal than the 300. The F-18 will not fly out of your hand with the slightest toss like the the 300. It needs a good firm toss to get some air moving over the wings and control surfaces or else the torque of the motor will cause the problem you are having.

If all else fails, you can grab the F-18 easybuild, it launches just like the extra300. Once you get up the skill with one of the easybuild parkjets, revisit the F-18 so you can really enjoy it.

i have the easy build f-22 but i would not fly straight. it would only turn right or go straight. when i went left on the control the plane went almost straight and when it was neutral it went to the right. the control surfaces were equal movement and level but that one is in pieces to

You were using either a vtail mixer or (not sure what radio you have) the Delta wing mixing in your radio right?
