Dynam Cessna 4CH!
Dynam Cessna (6:59) Topics Covered:
- Not a good beginner plane. Get the HAWK SKY for that.
- Makes a good 2nd or 3rd plane.
- I like it as a "beater-plane." Its a nice tough plane that takes to modifications nicely.
- I have a V3, on a 2 cell, 7x3x3 or 8x4x3 prop, flaperons, larger rudder, reinforced wheels, fronterons, and a gyro on mine.
I got a Dynam Cessna awhile back and have been playing around with it for awhile. Its a nice plane for guys with some experience. What I like most about the plane is its very solid which makes it a long lasting plane for for modifications. It flys pretty good stock too, but MUCH better with a few tweaky-tweaks.
Mods I Put On Mine In Order of Importance:
1) Larger Vertical Stabilizer. This makes it super stable.
2) Flaperons. I kept all the stock servos in and just re-wired with my DX6.
3) MicroJet V3 Motor. The stock motor works fine but the mount won't take a crash. I run my MJV3 on a 8x4x3 with a 2 cell.
4) Battery Hatch. Take out the stock battery-basket and fill it in with depron so you can put in different size batteries.
5) Stiffening the Landing Gear. This makes it taxi better.
6) Hard Mount Front Gear. The lack of ground turning is worth it as its much easier to take off.
7) Fronterons. They do slow the plane down for landing but they do start to add some extra weight.
8) Gyros. Gyros are not needed but they do help you stay smooth in the wind.
9) OnBoardCam. See Keegles Video.

Here is a video of it flying STOCK. Videos of it flying with the new modifications have been filmed and will be up on YouTube sometime after February 7th. I'll post the new YouTube videos here when they are up.

Dave, I saw the pics of the mods you did. One that I have a question about is why did you add an exstention to the tail, instead of replasing it all toghter with a larger tail from scrach?

Keep up the good work Dave, I have and only have flaperons on it right now, maybe i will put fronterons like yours on it...dont know yet. Good job with the vids, I enjoy watching them. I did replace the motor and put this towerpro in it rather than spending 30$ for that "fancy" MJV3 http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...runner_2408-21
I measured the thrust and I get about 22oz of thrust on 3s 1250 Mh, 8*4 prop, (18A ESC) 25 min of flight time approx..with throttle moderation, I can get off the ground at 1/2 throttle I like that
LOVE THIS PLANE

I'm starting to like the cheap RTFs that Dynam is pumping out ... but for some reason ... this one just doesn't seem appealing to me.
I have been looking hard at the Dynam Extra 330 however. Haven't seen a video of anyone doing hovers on it and wonder if it's possible. A durability test would be nice as well because I've heard conflicting reports.

Oh cool. Yes, I plan to get the Dynam 330 when I can. I got the Dynam F-16 and SlyBus here. I hear such good things about the SkyBus! Very big and scale!
