My kind of game. Slow flight and High alpha is just so cool, it gives a big smile on my face when it's executed correctly.

Thanks for all your good comments Dave, I will be building your other planes and play the high alpha game. I will be filming with better quality as soon as our weather clears out, it's just too windy this week. I want to show you slow high alpha.

Thanks again RcPowers Crew you guys are the best!!!

Happy flying.

KP.

Hey Dave,

Any idea what sort of amp draw that 6x3x3 prop pulls?

Thanks,
Andy

He is going to send a couple my way, when I get them in I'll do a amp/volt test on them with the microjet v3. Thanks!

Andy,
Yes, the 6x3x3s have less amp draw than the 6x4, that's about all I know. They are great for planes where you want more acceleration, less torque roll, and don't need the top end speed. They are quieter too.

Val and I flew our X-31 today with the mods on it and it worked very nice! I like it best with just some fronterons on the wingtips only. We tired it with no fronertons, full wing fronterons, and just wingtip fronterons as you see in the pics. The fronterons gave it a little more lift, slowed down the roll, and gave it a wee more high alpha.

What really worked nice was installing the back end lower and putting the thrust vecotoring elevons in there. That really made it flip nice.

Overall, very nice plane. Very simple and very stable. We flew it around the back yard with no problems at all.

Those mods look VERY nice Dave, I love how you used a single servo for all 4 control surfaces on each side. Now all your missing is slightly over sized full flying canards!

HAHA... I love that pic with your thumbs down Dave.

Anyways, great colors and mods to the planes.
Can't wait to see some vids of the X-31 and Hyrdo flying.

Took a short onboard video, since it finally decided to not be a squillion degrees below zero out today.
