i love rc airplane and i guess everybody in here does :D
i live in MN ( icebox in winter :zap:)
i plan to buy a this tx
xceed RC 6-Ch 2.4Ghz Transmitter w/ Receiver (Full Version) for RC Helicopters & Airplanes

    a few question :

    1. does they sell extra RX ?
    2. how there signal work
    3. does dual rate really important ? ( i think this TX don't have dual rate
    4. does any flight simulator working with this TX ?
can i fly my airplane in a park ?
is there any rule if i can fly rc airplane in a park ?( i saw Dave flight his airplane on the street is that illegal ? )
i would love to flight in the small park in the picture because is pretty close to my house.
does RC motor really loud ? can you heard it if you inside the house and close all the windows up ? ( i don't want to wake everybody around that area up)
    last question :
what TX you guy recommend for new pilot ? ( under 80$ )
    thanks:D

For TX get the Spektrum DX6 I have one and it is the most amazing thing. People will tell you to get the DX7i and "stuff" like that but its really not nessessary the DX6 will give you all the mixing you need, and 10 model memory and it will last awhile. Also a electric airplane motor is not that loud. Well it really depends on the plane and how it is designed. And i fly my planes at school football fields and local parks and never run into trouble.

But that radio you picked out is not bad at all, I just like spektrum and JR transmitters.

    i am an 8 grades student ( just turn 14 on JAN 8th )
i am fascinate with airplane since i was 6th grade.
i have 120$ => low budget don't have enough money to buy DX6i
    i have money every weekend ( 10$ )
i tried to save up money so i can buy my very first rc airplane
i don't want to ran to trouble by fly rc airplane
    ( wow i have 6 I :)) )
so flycap you 3 years older than me right ?
i only afraid that that park not that big ( enough for 10 people play football ) but still they have the playground and house surround it that what i am afraid they will call cops because the airplane to noisy :(

You can fly anywhere you want, except near an airport or sanctioned field. I fly it in front of my house all the time, i even hover in front of dump trucks as they pass by, i know its rude, but it looks cool in there point of view.

With $120 ide get a supercub or mini super cub.

I think the Exceed radio will suit you just fine if you are on a budget. But for a first airplane I really would suggest one of the durable, easy to fix planes like the Hawk Sky. It is so easy to fly but I enjoy mine every time I take it out and I have been flying for 15 years.

If you decide that is the route you want to go make sure you click the link below to order it:

aaahhh notthing like building your 1st plan but that well put you over your buget

    E-300 PDF FREE
    Tx and Rx $80

    mJv3 comm. $80 => what it this ?
i am thinking about buy 4 cheap servo = 20$
    foam = 10$
    tx + Rx = $44.95
    motor = 20$ ( dont know yet )
    20$ esc
    prop : few buck
    battery : 15$
    = ~150$
but i will by one at the time, buy TX and foam first, flight simulator for few week and build my airplane at the same time
when my budget let me i will buy Motor and servo when i got money.
because i want the long run.
hope is will go well :D
this project might take up few month ( is winter up here tempure always around 0-30 degree F so i guess i can't flight, too cold )
and after few weak is might got warmer ( spring :D )

If I where you i would get something like this because it comes with ESC and PROP and its so CHEAP!!!!
    http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor...erPro_BM2408-21T_/_18A_BEC_/_9x3.8_Prop_Combo

And if your building a foamie this motor is PERFECT plenty of power and deriblity I use it on all of my foamies.

BUT if you just want a motor get this, ITS GREAT!!
    http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor...uct_Name=TowerPro_Brushless_Outrunner_2408-21

Another idea, if you want a DX6 check you local hobbystore and Cragislist. I have found wonderful things for this hobby through cragislist!

BTW the only real sim. that lets you use a TX other than the one that comes with it is FMS, the graphics suck, but it will teach you just like any other sim.

Oh, forgot, I got that Exceed 6channel and it works great. The only reason it is so cheap is because there is no computer. The computer is your pc. That means you either take a laptop to the field, or you make your adjustments to your rates at home. A little inconvenient, but you cant beat that price!

    Tony,

Buy the Hawk Sky. Mine was $125 delivered to my house from Nitroplanes.

Now let's look at what my first 'FREE PDF' cost me.

    Exceed 2.4ghz (delivered) ............. $55
    Motor + ESC (MJv3) .................... $35
    LiPo Battery ............................... $20
    LiPo Charger .............................. $20
    2 Servos ................................... $10
    Foam and Glue ........................... $10
Purshrods, motor mount, prop, etc . $10

    Total ...................................... $160

This doesn't take into account that you need building tools that you might have to purchase as well (soldering iron, heat gun, glue gun, exacto knife, etc).
I don't think you can build a plane for less than the Hawk Sky costs delivered. If you want to build your own planes later, you can use the radio, ESC, motor, battery and servos from the Hawk Sky to save money.

And here's the important part ... it will be much easier to fly the Hawk Sky than it will be to fly the first plane you build yourself. It is easy to get discouraged and quit if your first plane doesn't fly. This is especially true when you are on a budget and just spent all your money on something that doesn't work. Many of us have seen that happen, and we don't want that to happen to you.

I truly encourage you to get the Hawk Sky first, and build your own planes later. I think you'll have much more success, and that means much more fun.

Hawk Sky - Nitro Planes (Mine was $109 + $15 shipping)

if i buy that tx then later on i need to spend money too buy another tx :(
i have 20$ per week, so i thing over my budget a little should be fine.

Once you have a few motors, some speed controllers, a half dozen batteries, a real ($200+) 2.4 Ghz radio, and a handful fo servos and extensions, the Free PDF costs about $10... the price of the foam.

When you crash it, it costs the price of the foam for each crash.

    RC Desk Pilot

Hey guys the best FREE sim out there is RC Desk Pilot. It's only new and still being developed but it's superior to FMS.
