What do you guys think is the best 3DHS plane that is electric and is less than 65"?
I want something that has good elevator authority, good knife edge tendencies and no stall characteristics so pretty much no wing rock in the harrier.

    Just some thoughts
    Just starting 3D use
    http://www.3dhobbyshop.com/48-EPP-Extra_p_16045.html
and always order an extra motor box.
With this motor if you decide not to order everything from 3DHS
    http://epbuddy.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=31&products_id=188
These are made by Skywing for 3DHS and can be had in your neck of the planet more quickly.

Also once on RCgroups go to 3d foamies and do a search for Skywing

Gotta have balsa NOW go with
    http://www.3dhobbyshop.com/48-Edge-540-Blue_p_15879.html
I have this one and its great, the stock motor is more than fine but I do plan to get the Sunnysky motor listed above for it.
Both of the above planes and motors can go on 3s 2200 high C batteries and fly super

    or
    http://www.3dhobbyshop.com/51-AJ-Slick--Red_p_14990.html
The only plane at our club that is owned, flown and recomended by both gas and electric pilots, this will be my next 3DHS plane
    Info thread
    http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=857340

    Hope this helps you
and always order an extra motor box
I know my replies are kind of long but I try to give good information and share what I had to look through before making my decisions, good luck

I have ordered a Extreme Flight Extra 300 EXP! Its hard to get 3DHS planes in Australia so I thought ill got extreme flight.
What do you think of this setup?
    Eflite BL25 1000KV motor
    Eflite 60A ESC
    4S 2800-3200 mah lipo
Align DS510M servos for the tail, Align DS520 for the ailerons
    13X4 prop
I think it might be a bit heavy what do you guys think?

and note the weight of the motors, the most common thing said about the plane is that it is nose heavy, so be wary of weight for the motor and ESC

Since 3d planes are hard to get, I would suggest you first try with an electric scratchbuilt foamy and be very comfortable before you use the good one. You can practice all you want on a sim, but when the wind is up, the possibility of accidents goes up exponential.
Take a look at my video where I am dealing with a low wind and what is does to my plane. Although its nitro, my 3D foamy acts the same way. For an adrenalin rush, try an inverted harrier down to 5 ft off the deck.
Search here for "so you want to hover".

I already have a 3D foamy and have flown a 36% Pilot Sbach and I really liked it so I think I'm ready for a balsa plane. Flying in the wind is really fun, you can do harrier landings at 0 ground speed and stop the plane in the rolling harrier.

I got the extra built but it was underpowered with the 12x6 and 14x7 so i put a 15x8 on it which over amped the ESC and and caused a deadstick in the inverted harrier :(

If your going to go with a 140 gram motor take a look at this,

    http://epbuddy.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=31&products_id=188

Just a few more KV as this one gives can make all the difference from powering out after a hover to flopping out on a unplanned KE, works great with 3s or 4s
I have two of these and like them more then the 130 gram Omega's I used to run in the 3DHS 48" EPP Extra and 48" balsa Edge 540, since getting these I sold both of my 130 gram Omega's

Check you Japanese vendors over there I am sure you will find someone over there selling this rebranded
    good luck

if u live in australia, why not get a precision aerobatics?
they r the best. only downside is price and they dont like to be crashed. they r like a ferrari. the american planes like the 3dhs and ef are like american cars like the mustang and camero. NOTHING like a ferrari

So how is that EF extra working out, some guys here are flying it with the SunnySky 920kv motor, was wondering how that power 25 was doing for you.
Also I sold my 3DHS 48" EPP Extra and ordered one of these
    http://bestvaluerc.com/shop/shopexd.asp?id=366
First time I ever sold a sold a plane, other times I have always given away the airframes when I am done with them but having only 15 flights on it I told some folks it was going to be sold and ended up taking all my stuff off it right then and went home without it but plus some cash

Oh yeah, check out these ESC's, they allow you to set the servos to 6v with the built in BEC
    http://www.quantumhobby.com/category-s/686.htm
I have a couple coming and if they are all that I will slowly replace my current ESC's with these. Right now I am 90% Turingy Plush but am more than willing to swap out to these if they work as intended

Got the extra flying with the Thrust and its way powerful, but I think a 3200 is a bit to heavy and will try to get a smaller 2200-2700 battery.
