After one solid month of searching and researching I finally found a really good 4CH heli that I like and can recommend. The biggest challenge to buying these type of RC toys in Internet-land is that you never know what you are really getting. So many of these online companies are doing anything they can to undercut one another to get your sale. Cheap parts, defective components, poor stock, no service, and slow shipping if ever you get your order! |

Flight Tips: |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
1) Get an extra pack of upper and lower blades, you'll use them. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2) A 2nd Li-Po battery is nice to have. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 3) Practice on the simulator as much as you can. That’s how I learned to fly. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 4) For first flights, fly over something soft like grass (if there is no wind) or your bed. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The guys at THINKRC are about 20 miles from me here in So. California and run a top-notch business. They get their products straight from the manufacture which brings you some of the lowest prices with the highest quality. They know their products, are well stocked, answer their phones and emails, and ship out same or next day! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 5) When you get in trouble CUT THE THROTTLE! Don't let the heli beat itself to death when it goes down. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Flight: |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I chose this helicopter primarily because its a 4ch (4 channel) and looks pretty sweet! The smaller 2-3ch are nice if you are only flying indoors. But if you want true maneuverability and be able to fly outside on a calm day, you need a 4ch heli. With the 4ch helis you have full control of: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| CH
1) Throttle (up and down) CH 2) Yaw/Rudder (side to side twist) CH 3) Pitch (fly back and forth) CH 4) Roll (fly right and left) |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I like this heli cause it comes with every single thing you need to get it flying right out of the box. The simulator and inexpensive blades make it easy on the beginner as you learn to fly it. Its also maneuverable enough for an advanced guy to have alot of fun with. I am having alot of fun with mine! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I would say this heli is great for anyone wanting to get into RC or just have something to fly around the house. It’s easy and sturdy enough for a beginner to learn on, and still fun enough for an advanced guy to play with. If you have no experience whatsoever, it’s nice one cause it comes with every single thing you need. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The package comes with the 8 AA batteries for the Transmitter! It’s a powerful 4ch radio with no glitches. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 7.4v 800mAh Lithium Polymer Battery | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| High quality Li-Po with lots of power and runtime. Remember, don’t run your Li-Pos all the way dead! Once it starts to slow, land it, let it cool down for a minute and recharge. Fly time is about 10-15 minutes and charge time is about 20-30 minutes. I ordered a 2nd battery for my heli. While one is charging, I’m flying. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Lipo
AC/DC Charger |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Ok, this was a very nice surprise! This charger can charge both in the house and at the field! Best of all, it’s a cell balancer! It chargers both cells at the same time. This greatly increases the life and performance of the battery. It also has a slot for a 3 cell batteries as well. I use this charger/balancer to charge my 3 cell airplane batteries as well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Flight Simulator for Your Computer |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Best way to learn to fly RC is on a flight simulator. It’s like riding a bike, it’s very easy, but you need to put in your time to build the mind-muscle connection. A simulator does this without breaking your heli. I have a video here on simulators: YouTube Flight Simulator Video. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| One technical warning for you: Depending on your computer and skills, it can be a real battle to get the sim-software to run on the computer. If you can get it to work great, if not there really isn’t much we or THINKRC can do for you. At this point it’s a computer compatibility issue and that’s virtually impossible for us to diagnosis and fix over the phone or email. Just practice your heli over a squishy place like grass or your bed. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Spare upper and lower blades | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Very nice of them to include replacement blades. I also recommend getting an additional pack for both the upper and lower set. It’s only a couple bucks more and you’ll be glad you got them, trust me. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

sure to get an extra battery and a set of top and bottom blades! |
