The
combination of the Grayson Hobby 3D EPP Sukhoi ARF and our new Shock
Absorbing Motor Mount, create the ultimate crash resistant 3D plane!
Anyone who flys with EPP, Depon, or Blue Core foamies knows that the
biggest breaking point on these planes is the motor mount. The plywood
breaks, the glue joint comes off, something has to give in a crash.
This plane is perfect for the guys that just like to fly. Builds in
an evening using common components and is light and slow enough to
fly in the yard! It's the perfect plane to build with your son or
daughter who have always wanted learn to fly but are afraid to crash.
In fact, crashing is the funniest part with these because they just
won't die! |

HOW
IS IT SO CRASH RESISTANT? |
|
|
|
|
|

|
| |
-
EPP foam bends not breaks.
- The carbon rods distribute the shock.
- The prop saver absorbs minor hits.
- The new shock absorbing motor mount
"gives" instead of breaks.
- It's slow enough and light enough that
the forces from a crash travel all through-
out the plane, are mostly absorbed by
the systems above, and then travel back
down and cause the plane to just bounce! |

I used hotglue for the build and repairs.

| 2)
Slightly nose heavy CG makes it more stable. |
